Uber gets into bike sharing

Uber is venturing into the bike-sharing business. The ride-hailing company is trialling Uber Bike in partnership with Jump, the dockless bike-sharing startup, reports TechCrunch. The pilot program will let users in San Francisco rent one of Jump’s 250 electric bikes, charging $2 for the first 30 minutes and an additional per-minute fee thereafter, according to Engadget. Users will be able to hire the bikes from their Uber apps
